REVIEW: GRWM Cosmetics Radiance Skin Luminous Foundation for Acne Prone Skin

As someone with acne prone skin, I'm always on a hunt for a really good foundation. It should be lightweight for my oily skin yet also still be able to cover up any imperfections like my pih (post inflammatory hyperpigmentations) and dark spots.

On the other hand, it should also match my skin tone of course. Something I've always found hard to do because I just found out about 2 months ago that I actually have an olive undertone. So my foundation shades back then were either one shade too warm or a shade lighter.

When GRWM Cosmetics cosmetics came out with their Radiance Skin Luminous Foundation, I was over the moon. It was nice to see a local brand push the envelopes and develop a wide range of foundation shades. Not to mention, they actually have a shade for olive undertone girlies like me! Sadly, I wasn't able to get my hands on it as soon as I wanted to because GRWM Cosmetics is unfortunately not available where I reside (UAE). So anyway, I went back home to the Philippines - approximately 8 months after their release - and on my 3rd day, I went to their store at Molino and tried on a few shades 😊

I ended up getting two shades: Birch (light medium olive) and Almond (medium neutral). Birch was the perfect shade on my skin. Almond on the other hand helped neutralize some of the warm foundations and BB creams I already have in my beauty stash - which is the reason why I purchased it. Now the real question is, if it can cover up my hyperpigmentation, dark spots and redness.

BEFORE | AFTER

This is the before and after using GRWM Cosmetics' Radiance Skin Luminous Foundation. I am absolutely in love with the effect. The difference between the two are so far apart. The finish of the foundation is so natural, it's very lightweight, not too matte and not too glowy and gives a good amount of coverage. By the way, it can also cover up the pores without using a pore primer. At this point, I've been using the foundation on a regular and I can't help but think about how well thought out this product is. Mae Layug - the founder of the brand - really did a great job. Kudos to her!

If you want to see how I apply GRWM's foundation, I have a youtube video below that you can watch. You'll be surprised how easy it is to use the product whether you're blending it with a brush, a sponge or just your fingers for a more natural finish.
