Food Review: Soulgreen, A Plant Based Restaurant in Dubai
There's not a lot of whole food plant based restaurants in Dubai (or at least that I know of). I'm sure a few have popped up here and there but I haven't fully discovered all of them yet. So I decided (along with my family) to discover more plant based restos in the country because even my parents have changed their diet for the better.
Having said that, here's our first discovery - Soulgreen restaurant. Located at Dubai Creek Harbour, you'll find it right above the Amici Miei Restaurant or inside Vida Hotel. If you're strolling along the harbour, just enter Amici and take the elevator or stairs up to Soulgreen. Driving there? Park at the Vida Hotel, where Soulgreen is situated, and enjoy free parking validation when you dine in.
Soulgreen is actually based in Milan, Italy and this is their first branch in the UAE. The ambience of the restaurant offers a serene and relaxing atmosphere thanks to the lush greenery. They have a veranda with a view of the harbour, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Not to mention, they also serve alcohol so if you wanna relax outdoors, you'll love their space especially during the cooler months.
Soulgreen is mostly plant based, focusing on seasonal ingredients with a touch of seafood options. And I wouldn't want to forget the best and most important part, everything they serve is gluten free. Let me show you everything we got.
Miso baked salmon with fried rice, shitake mushroom, chipotle mayo, pakchoi and fried tofu. A great option if you're feeling hungry and you want something filling yet healthy at the same time. This bowl was hearty and the miso with the chipotle mayo was such a perfect combo, making you want more. Definitely worth ordering again.

Vegan Risotto Porcini and Black Truffle: AED 110 |

Classico: AED 75 |
This burger blew my mind 🤯 Burger patty is made from eggplants and soy. Cheddar cheese tapioca and the rest of the burger is topped with their gluten free bread, homemade coleslaw, soy mayo, and classic tomatoes, pickles and onion. I took a bite and the patty honestly tasted like smoked beef! Honestly, if you didn't know that this was vegan, you wouldn't even recognize the difference.

Soul Ramen: AED 110 |
Contains egg (we just had it served separately) and fish stock. Perfect for the cold weather, this ramen tasted clean and smooth. Not a lot of seasoning but it brought out the real flavours of the vegetables and as someone who loves veggies this was refreshing. I was sick from my allergies when we dined here so this bowl of soup was so comforting to me.
