Day 53: My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing

My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Predictable but I think it's because I already had a general idea of the plot.

However, as soon as Millicent mentioned her sister, Holly, it became clear to me that she might be the psychopath rather than her sister. Downing, practically gave it away when Millicent discovered Holly's release from the psychiatric ward. From that moment, my perspective on the book shifted, and I eagerly awaited to see what would unfold after Claire obtained a lead on Tobias. Because while Millicent did all the crime, it was her husband who's now about to pay for it.

In any case, the moral of the story is clear: communication with your spouse is crucial.

On another book, today we start reading Happy Place by Emily Henry. I think I need something light after everything that happened in And the Mountains Echoed, Pachinko and My Lovely Wife. The last three books were depressing as heck so I hope this one will be lighter.
