Gobal Village and where to get the best Thai food

The last time I went to Global Village was on February 2020, just before the pandemic hit. After over 2 years, it was finally great to be back to one of my favorite places!

I went there with my friends and luckily, we didn't even have to buy the tickets to get in 😅 We actually got so much free tickets from here and may I add that the timing of how we got it was so perfect! My friend and I were actually planning to go to Global before she went back home to the Ph. We were just having a casual conversation about it and then, boom. After a few hours, we got the free tickets 😉 Oh the power of manifestation. hehehehe

Anyway, putting that aside, our first agenda at Global was to get food. I'm fasting on meat due to the lenten season so I got chana bhatura and dahi puri to fuel up on the walking we're gonna have to do all night.

While walking, we saw a masala chai being sold on a clay pot and I thought I'd give it a try. It was a good experience but wouldn't do it again cause sadly, it wasn't that good for my taste buds. Also, it cost 6 Dhs ($1.63) but at least you get to keep the clay cup.

And this is where you can get the best Thai food at Global Village ⬇

I have been buying my fried prawns, chickens and pad thai from them for years and they never fail when it comes to flavor! I'm telling you, they're so good, that they always have a line!! That evening, I have been craving for their pad thai so instead of getting my usual fried prawns from them, I went for the noodle and it was the best 35 Dhs ($9.53) I have ever spent!

So that was that. I had one sole purpose during my visit: to find a bucket hat. And I didn't hahaha. But that's okay. It was a day well spent with good people.
