June Favorites

I hope it's not too late for June favorites...I've been wanting to get back to posts like these (since last month) but I've been holding it off because I couldn't squeeze in enough time for it. But alas, better late than never. Here are my top three faves from June.

Notion

I cannot believe it took me this long to finally give in to using Notion. This isn't my first encounter with the app. In fact, I discovered this back in 2020 and for some reason I just hated it. Yes. Strong word, I know. Because during that time, I also saw a lot of creators using and promoting the app. I couldn't for the love of me, figure out why people loved it. It was so complicated.

But for some reason last month, I had a change of heart. I dedicated myself to learning the basics of Notion. I was so into it 😂  Turns out, I just wasn't ready back then. I guess things do come to you at the right time (lol. What am I saying). Anyway, I feel like a new person after I finally figured out how to use Notion. So much so that I think it's going to be impossible to go back from this. Because at this point I've already curated a reading tracker, a content calendar for my partner and I, I'm also about to start creating a database for my movies and series ('cause I seriously can't keep up with the amount of shows and episodes I watch).

So there, if you haven't tried out Notion yet, maybe this is your sign. It does take some time to get around it but once you do, oh it's going to be so satisfying. If you've ever heard of bullet journaling, I guess I could say that this platform is similar except it's in digital form and it's actually built to work in your favor.

Becoming Supernatural

When it comes to reading books, I'm a huge fiction girl. Self-help is the last on my kind of books to read. I mean, if you take a look at my library, you'll only find a few ones in my collection. And while they give a ton of advice and lifts your spirits up, they don't usually stick...you know what I mean?

It's a different experience with Becoming Supernatural though. This was the "spiritual enlightenment" I never knew I needed. If you're looking for something to help you connect to your higher self, this is worth giving a try. While some books will encourage up, this will bring you into a whole new consciousness. Let me ask you one thing, in this world we live in, this Earth, this universe, do you really think you’re just waking up to work, survive, repeat? I don’t think so.

Give this a go. If it resonates with you, then I’m glad and if it doesn’t, it’s okay. We’re all different human beings with different frequencies. It all depends on what aligns with us right?

Stranger Things

Season 4 was 🤌🏼 It was so good, my partner who hasn’t seen the the entire show (as in from season 1) finally decided to give it a go. We ended up watching season 1 - 4 in about 2 weeks 😅 Not gonna lie, we were so bummed when we had to wait for season 4 part 2; we finished watching it though, have you? What do you think? All I can say is, I hope we don’t have to wait 2 years for season 5 because that ending WAS SUCH A HUGE CLIFFHANGER!

That about sums up my June faves. I promise to add more stuff for July. I’ve kept some notes already.
