Book Review: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
TW: abuse, self harm
There are two plots to this story. The first, I’d predicted halfway, but the second…what the heck 😧 In my opinion, this book is downright creepy. Especially when you realize that a person like the one in the book can possibly be qualified to treat people who are in mental distress. I sure hope and pray that this will never be the case in real life.
This book has proved once again that words have power and can cut like a knife. And although I am already aware of the fact that we should be kind to one another because we'll never really know what a person is going through, another light bulb has switched on inside me because if you're not kind to the person in front of you, there's a possibility that it can get ugly...the tables can turn and it won't be in your favor.
