Where to sell pre - loved items online in the UAE

Back in 2014 - 2016, there was an app called SHEDD which was a platform that allowed you to sell your pre-loved items in the UAE. It used to be the most convenient thing ever because you simply take a photo, post it online and wait for someone interested to buy it. The only downside I guess would be scheduling meet ups with the buyers - there are times when they don't come on time or worse, they don't show up at all.

Another way to sell your pre-loved stuff is through booking a table at the flea market. But that costs money. Last I heard a table costs 250aed. This is great if you're sharing the table with someone and if you sell all of your things. Otherwise, it's a waste of money and energy. I've experienced this before and it's not worth the trouble.

And finally, I came across BAZAARA! It's an online platform to sell your pre-loved items and the best part is, THEY WILL DO THE DELIVERIES FOR YOU!!!! 

How it works:

1. First, you wanna download the app

2. Create an account and start uploading your items. This can be from clothes to home decor and even beauty products

3. BAZAARA will verify your listing before posting them publicly on the platform. Not to worry as this only takes less then 24 hours (based on my experience)

4. If someone wants to purchase your items, you'll be notified and you have 48 hours to accept the order otherwise it will be voided.

5. Once you've accepted the order, BAZAARA will send their courier to pick up the item and that's it!

6. They'll even send you a notification once your sale has been delivered 😊

Now you might be asking - are there any hidden fees? There is but as a seller, you will NOT BE CHARGED for it!

Since BAZAARA handles the deliveries, they do charge for a delivery and service fee which is shouldered by the buyer. Much like when we order products online and we pay for shipping, it works the same for BAZAARA. So if your selling price is 10 aed, once your listing goes public, BAZAARA automatically adds their fees and the buyer sees the total amount (fees + your price) to be paid.

Lastly, like any other e-commerce platform, BAZAARA also offers free shipping / discounts once in a while which buyers can take advantage of!

My experience:

✅ First of all, I wanna compliment their Whatsapp customer service. When I was looking through BAZAARA for the first time, I'd asked them a lot of questions and they patiently answered all of my queries!

✅ Creating an account and uploading my stuff on their platform was also a piece of cake.

✅ I've sold a couple of items through the app and some of my buyers came from Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and within Dubai. All of their orders arrived safely and in perfect condition.
