Food Review: Brunch at Dusty’s Dubai
If you’re looking to let loose and chill over the weekend with friends and family, then Dusty’s Dubai has got you covered. Their Friday Departure Brunch offers unlimited soft drinks and alcohol plus a la carte meals, which depends on the type of ‘class’ you purchase, i.e they have Business Class and First Class. I’d say the concept to their Departure Brunch was quite unique complete with their fun and safety ‘flight’ reminders before you enter an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
Interior
Lighting I believe, is one of the most important elements that make up a good restaurant and Dusty’s definitely nailed that. The warm tone, plus their quirky cabin-like interior and their mural paintings instantly gave everyone that chill vibe that one deserves on a weekend.
Food
The platters were good for one person and fairly priced considering every meal we ordered tasted amazing. To start with, we had spinach hummus, taco lobsters and crispy duck.

Spinach Hummus was the perfect mix. It wasn’t soggy, sour or over flowing with olive oil. The tortilla chips that came along with it made it all the more better. Wasn’t sure though if you can have a refill (cause we had other meals to try) but it would have been great if they served it with a bowl of tortilla chips rather than just the 4 pieces that came with it. There was a lot of hummus for that small amount of chips.
The lobster tacos were good but I felt that it needed a little more flavour. Nevertheless, they were still tasty and even though I’m not the one to eat onions, and while the tacos had them, I still couldn’t help but savour every filling of the taco.
My favourite from the starters though was their crispy duck salad! In it there was of course, the shredded crispy duck, mixed greens and sunflower & pomegranate seeds with a pomegranate dressing. Everything was so simple but once you eat them, it’s legendary! Haha. No joke, it was really good and that one serving wasn’t even enough.

| Fillet Steak |
Let’s get to the main course: we had their mushroom risotto (because we are a sucker for mushrooms) which was a little buttery and a little creamy at the same time which I thought was just right. Then we had the fillet steak in medium rare which was cooked to perfectionnnnn! We wish we ordered more but we were slowly getting filled up so we decided to get to the best part, DESSERTS!

| Candy Station |
For desserts, we had the candy station which had chocolate fondue (YUMMM) and a huge platter filled with marshmallows, macarons, fruits and bite sized biscuits. Next, our kind server recommended that we try their french toast and guess what, it was so fluffy! It’s probably the fluffiest french toast I’ve ever had and I won’t even complain if I had it everyday!
Overall Experience
We would definitely go back! Our favourite part was their house music. If you’re a 90’s baby like us, oh we’re telling you now, you’re going to jam like you haven’t before. The staff was equally amazing; they pay attention to their customers and they’re all in a cheery mood which I think is very important.
Dusty’s Dubai is located at DIFC in Al Fattan Currency House.
